Benedicto XVI noma a Jesús Sanz Montes nuevu Arzobispu d'Uviéu

El Vaticanu fizo güei públicu’l nomamientu pol Papa Benedicto XVI del nuevu Arzobispu Metropolitanu d’Uviéu, Jesús Sanz Montes. El sustitutu de Carlos Osoro ye un madrileñu de 54 años, l'Arzobispu más mozu del Estáu, qu’hasta agora yera obispu de Xaca y Huesca. Montes tomará posesión del so cargu na segunda quincena de xineru.
Al mesmu tiempu que’l Papa Benedicto nomaba’l nuevu Arzobispu d’Uviéu, tamién se daba a conocer el nome de José Ignacio Munilla como obispu de Donosti. La ideoloxía de los dos nuevos Arzobispos sitúase dientro de la rama más conservadora de la ilesia. El mesmu presidente del PNV, Joseba Egibar, criticó’l nomamientu de Munilla al calificalo d’ultraconservador. Sicasí, el Presidente del Principáu amosose más cautelosu y dixo que lo qu’importaba yera la acción institucional y que teníen munches coses en común, “inclús tenemos el gran retu de Cuadonga”, afitó.
El nuevu obispu nació en Madrid el 18 de xineru de 1955. Fizo los estudios de Teoloxía y Filosofía en Toledo, anque primeru trabayó nun bancu. Foi ordenáu sacerdote en 1986, añu nel que tamién foi nomáu Rector del Seminariu Franciscanu d’Avila. El 23 d’ochobre de 2003 foi designáu pola Santa Sede como obispu d’Huesca y Xaca, recibiendo la ordenación episcopal el 14 d’avientu d’esi añu.
